Found the error. The Emacs bundled with PCQ-RH6.2 was version
20.5. For multi-lingual capabilities an addittional file called
leim-20.5.tar.gz has to be installed. PCQ guys have not installed it. The
file can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.gnu.org, but it seemed rather too
big a file to be downloaded ovr a slow (sigh) :-( net connection. If
anybody in the PCQ team is listening, can u please include it in the next
month's CD, under the Linux section.......
