in simple language while installing any system i would suggest red hat linux
choose custom install and then while installing choose individual packages
or you may configour the 386's to boot from the compaq deskpro so that the
local 250MB's can be used for user files. one thing is for certain if you
want to run the 386's smmoth you should have a text interface on them.
