Hi

I tried to upgrade to rh 6.2 on my p200 / 32 mb sdram / sis 6215c
box - and here's what I did ...

partition initially -

hda1 - 'doze primary 2.1G

hda3 - doze secondary 1 G

hda4 - swap - 64 mb

hda5 - linux native - rest of the space (abt 1 G)

1. After defrag etc, booted using a bootdisk and selected upgrade
from the CD menu

2. Selected some packages I wanted to upgrade

3. Hit start

What happened is that midway thru the upgrade (when upgrading
apmd) my CD drive hung due to some weird reason (can't be the
CD - no scratches etc). After waiting nearly 1/2 hour I had to
reboot.

So, when I try to start linux from lilo it says

loading linux....................

and stops there.

@$%$^%$^$^@

Looks like I've done something stupid (one thing I can mention - not
backing up my mail) - can someone help? There are a few files
(and mails <g>) which I don't exactly want to lose.

The partition is intact, so if worst comes to worst I can use
something to access hda5 from my doze partition and get my mails
and files ... but I'd still (naturally) prefer getting linux up and
running again.

Help please :)
