No, as I wasn't touching lilo etc, I went straight into a graphical mode
upgrade and selected some packages which I needed.

I'm not inclined to try again with that CD - there don't seem to be any
scratches but I'm rather short sighted :)

Also, like I said, it's high time I installed something like deb or suse
(or hey, what about that mu-linux pcq supplied??? that'll run mutt and
such, I suppose - and I don't need X anyway - so SiS card support is no
issue).

Has anybody got a working install of last month's mu-linux up and running?
If so, were there any gotchas / hidden 'features' I have to watch out for?
