I was planning to switch to SuSE anyway - this thing, I guess, just
speeded up the decision. YAST is just as good as apt-get I guess? :)
I'll use something like nemo or explore2fs and get my mails (and a few
text files I need - thank $deity I don't like rtf and such like crap for
storing data) onto my winduhs partition, and then nuke redhat.
<ducks, seeing flames coming from half the debian users around>
Ya, maybe I _will_ try debian out for a while (any kind soul in hyd got a
fairly new debian cd or two? a couple have slink, that's all - but plenty
of suse thanks to Bang!Linux)
