I Just want to know what is the difference between the Sound Card Drivers
Provided by RHL 6.2 (PCQ CD JUNE 2K) and the ALSA Drivers available on the
web. In my case my ESS 1371 based Creative Vibra Sound Card works perfectly
well but with out MIDI support and the ALSA site also mentions drivers for
ESS 1371 Chip based cards.
So Please some one guide me that will they(ALSA Drivers) bring any
significant difference and will they be able to play MIDI or should I
continue with the current drivers. I have checked the whole ALSA site but
could not find any comparison for the above.
