I suppose you mean the Bat book (ORA sendmail, Allman and Costales)?
Nothing like it - it's great. Only problem is, it's written for sendmail
8.8.8 - and sendmail's changed a _lot_ after that.
It's much easier to config and run - and supports lots more features.
Very modular, easy to upgrade / configure by adding / removing modules in
sendmail.mc (or adding entries to db files rather than hacking sendmail.cf
every time).
So, go to http://www.sendmail.org and read the sendmail docs, and the
tutorials at http://www.sendmail.net
If you go to http://www.sendmail.com (yeah, COM as well <g>) you'll get
this paid version of sendmail which is even easier to config and use ...
it's got this domain control panel and such like things (also comes in an
NT version)

http://www.india.cauce.org/links.html has a good list (and the pages
linked to from there have an even better list) of anti-spam links.
As for mail, nothing beats the manufacturer's website (though, I gave some
links in my July pcq article on exim / qmail / sendmail stuff - that's not
on the PCQ site though, it's only in their treeware edition)
Also, PCQ's recent reorg of their site seems to have eaten my article -
