Hi Babu and Narain,
worry not about that.

Linux-fdisk does everything in memory till you give it specific command
to write that memory image on the disk. While writing to the disk, it
actually creates and deletes partitions.

so, you may try any combination of add/ delete in linux-fidsk, and see
its impact on sequencing, just be sure to come out of it WITHOUT WRITING
IT TO THE HDD.
