[LIH] multiple disk spanning for Big files

Hi,

What would be the way to copy very big files on to floppies in linux. In
DOS, you could "pkzip -& a:xyz.zip big_file.exe"
I tried using "tar -cMvf /mnt/floppy/xyz.tar 8_mb_file.tar.gz" but it
did not work.
