Hi,

What is your XFree86 version, use atleast 3.6 BTW, the version 4.0 is
somewhat faster (hmm.. quite faster) especially if you've got a agp card.
Anyway those should not prevent you from setting up your monitor.

use xf86config, th old hack that comes with the XFree package itself.
Xconfigurator or XF86Setup or SaX might have some problems. Keep your
monitor manuals handy and key in the correct vert and horiz refresh rates.
And pay attention to all the text that comes on your screen ;-)
