Hi,
Now I have been successful in configuring the DNS server taking into
consideration only two machines.
1. Linux server
2. Dos client (hostname rajeshpc) whom I have given static IP address
192.168.1.11
Now without putting hosts entry for rajeshpc DNS is working. Forward as
well as reverse lookups.
Now I want to include in this the other servers and clients on the network.
First I will try for
1. WIN NT email server ( 192.168.20.1 )
2. Windows 98 client ( 192.168.20.20 )
3. SCO unix server ( 160.1.1.1 )
Since my linux server is 192.168.1.1 and the above IP's are not from this
block putting them directly in DNS configuration does not work.
Can anybody help me out in this with some routing stuff.
Thanks
Rajesh
