Fisrt thing you need to load is TCP/IP on DOS

if these DOS machine connect to Novell servers than TCP/IP can be loaded
over ODI drivers
you can than telnet from the dos machine to linux box and using pine you can
read the mails
however you can also surf th internet using arachne a DOS/LINUX SHELL  BASED
GRAPHICAL WEB BROWSER
