Would you please help?
I wanted to install Apache Server + Apache JServ + GNUJSP on my Linux Redhat 6.2.
As a first step I removed the default Apache Server installation and installed the
downloaded Apache Server 1.3.12 in static mode.
When I issued the command
/usr/local/apache/bin apachectl start
I got the message "http started".
Then I proceeded with the installation of Apache Jserv-1.0b1 with JDK1.2 and JSDK2.0.
After JServ installation, as per the installation note, I went to Apache Server's
sorce directory and again issued the following commands
make
make install.
Again when I issued the comand,
/usr/local/apache/bin apachectl start,
I got the message
"http could not be started".
Why it's so? How can I rectify the proble?
