No. My HDD is 10.2GB with 1247 cylinders in LBA mode. Whereas linux boot
partition started after a 3GB NTFS partition(the 'then' partition). Perhaps NT
managed it to corrupt such that LILO started reading /dev/hda2 beyond 1024
cylinders. That's seems logical.
Anyway thanks for the new input. Where did you get it? It's not covered in
lilo documentation in /usr/doc. I thought it covered all the errors. :-))
