yeah this is expected. You need to put the name server address in your
resolv.conf. To get that you can either
1) get in touch with your isp

2) if they provide a shell, then login and have a look at their
resolv.conf ;) or run nslookup it will show the nameserver it is using.

3) you can use any name server for instance that of vsnl its 202.54.30.1
you need another one i dont remember it offhand.
