 Not tried corel linux before, but I believe it is based on Debian, not Redhat.
 Is there any other reason why corel linux is 'dumb' except that you (naturally) 
cannot install rpms on it?
 
 As for the RPMs, you'd have to use alien to convert them to debian packages,
 which I suppose would install quite ok on corel linux.
