Hi,
Does this problem occurred after coming back from a long vacation :)? The
problem is very simple. You must have used 'kuser' to create the user, ok,
unlike Red Hat 6.1 this kde version requires you to set the user's shell
i.e., BASH. Here are simple steps...
1. As root run 'kuser' or "User Manager" from the System sub-menu,
2. Find the user (having the login problem),by scrolling down,
3. Click edit, or double click on the user,
4. set the Shell (or default shell) to BASH by selecting in the popup list
(may be in the properties tab).
5. Save and Exit kuser,
6. Login as the 'user'.
I believe this must solve your problem...Good Luck. A smal tip: get the
Kpanel2 from linuxberg.com or freshmeat.net. it is better than the default
kpanel.
Yours Friendly,
Rizwaan.
