        I think you can resize the C: using Partition Magic. Just reduce
the size of C: by about 20-30 mb and then make a new primary partition of
that size and type ext2 .
        Look for the disk organisation on the Partition Magic. If the
C: is less than 8GB (if you are using LBA mode which you probably will
be) and /boot is just after it then it must be within 1024 cyl.
