forgot - see if /etc/mail, /var/spool/mail etc have permissions properly set
(owned by root, /var/spool/mail directory has permission 1777 etc)

Instead of bouncing it to abc, I suggest you use fetchmail in multidrop mode to
deliver to user abc.
