You most certainly can, if:
1. You made a linux boot disk during setup or after setup, and 
checked that the system booted fine from it.
2. Have a linux Cd which allows you to mount the linux fs, using a 
rescue image
3. Have a live File System CD from SuSE or Slackware(these are teh 
only ones I know)
4. Have a single floppy linux distro like LOAF or toms root bootdisk

5. If you use loadlin from windows to boot to linux

Whatever, note down which are your root and /boot partitions.
