Hello Friends,
Earlier in the day I sent a mail about my difficulty in loading RH
6.1/6.2 I didn't get any response probably coz my mail was vague. I
think I should try to re-install RH6.0 . If that works then there is a
compatability problem of some sort. If it doesn't then something must be
wrong with my system.
The reason I wanted RH6.1/ 6.2 is this. I design hardware and use a
language known as verilog. Verilog simulators are way expensive and any
shareware is severly limite. There is a way out however in the form of
icarus-verilog a free open source simulator. What icarus does is it
converts verilog to an intermediate c/c++ program, then it uses a c
compiler to compile the intermediate program. The c compiler in rh6.0
gives a problem with this while on 6.2, there is no problem. Hence I
wanted rh6.2.
Now assuming that I can load RH6.0 back on my system (seems doubtful
after yesterday) is it possible to upgrade the c/c++ compiler ? I don't
want to post this on LIP coz my difficulty is not in the programming
aspect, but rather a compatibility issue.
I would really apreciate any help on this.
Thank You,
Regards,
mario
