Why be partial to egcs, others are human too ;). With a running 6.0 boot
from the 6.2 cd and choose upgrade ( as opposed to install ). RPM *should*
slectively upgrade whatever applications it can upgrade.
I stress on *should*, hoping it would 1st check for the requirements and
then proceed with installing the new rpm when all the rquirements are met.
I am not certain whether rpm also checks for cpu compatibility, but give
it a try.
