yup thats a serious drawback ;) atleast for my ps2 mouse. For me it just
autodetected it and did whatever was necessary. I guess there's not much
to it than making a soft link to /dev/psaux and having the entries in the
mouse section of XF86Config

Section "Pointer"
        Device /dev/mouse
        Protocol" PS/2
        Buttons" "3"
        Emulate3Buttons
        ChordMiddle
EndSection

But since this is an introductory doc I think, better would be to
introduce XF86Setup and maybe some screenshots. And yes also the concept
of the port to which it is attached.

If however someone needs some more bang, there's not much of
an alternative to editing the file. I am listing a couple of additions to
the minimal ps2 protocol which are supported.

Protocol Auto
" IntelliMouse #supports wheel, this is a serial mouse
" ExplorerPS/2
" usb
" ThinkingMouse
" MouseMan
" MouseManPlusPS/2 #supports wheel
" IMPS/2 #supports wheel

There are loads of others, I am sure but for the indian scenario this
should cover the majority of them

Note however Emulate3Buttons option impedes the wheel functionality.
