Yes. Finally my Logitech mouse wheel works under X.
Sreangsu, no hacking is needed to make it working under netscape.
I have just done the following :
1. download imwheel rpm from rpmfind.
2. add the following lines in XF86Config file Pointer section :
Protocol "IMPS/2"
Device "/dev/mouse"
ZAxisMapping 4 5
Buttons 3 # This line should be used instead of Emulate3buttons.
3. add imwheel -k in .xinitrc.
That's it.
However even after putting Buttons 3 the Emulate3buttons does not work. After
highlighting text and pressing both mouse buttons does not paste the contents. Any
remedy for this ?
