Dear Vivek,
U can use vi editor for writting c and c++ progs. U have to save the file
and come to $ prompt and compile the prog, using gcc or cc followed by the
file name.
Output file a.out will be created. U can execute the prog.. by typing a.out
in the next line.

ps. If mistakes are there in the prog. u have to open the prog. using
vieditor and correct it and then save the file.
