Does this work? I loaded SuSE7.0 on my machine last night and got hell.
XF4.0 is working with 800x600, XF3.x is working with 1024x768 with black
box mouse cursor. SuSE 6.4 was working perfectly previously with
XF86_SVGA. The old XF86Config is not helping much. XFCom_SiS is giving a
patchet mouse cursor. Does anyone know what modeline to use (Can I copy
the old modes to the new file (which does not show any interlaced modes))?
The SiS530 is onboard. SuSE7.0/XF4.0 installs with no problems on
RivaTNT2/Gateway17''. On Toshiba satellite notebook I had to use XF3.x but
it's fantastic (I still don't know the graphics chipset). (Makes you feel
laptops were made to run Linux ;-) If anyone has XF4 working with the
SiS530/SamtronSC428PSL do tell me that it works..
