Hi all,
I have installed RH6.2 over the network several times but never faced a
strange pblm as this.
During the install process, the network card is identified properly, the
network details (IP, hostname, netmask, default router etc) are entered
properly, the ftp connection to the server is actually made (can be seen
from the logs on the server), the retrieval of the second stage loader is
proper (from messages on screen), but while loading the install fails...
I'm using the text based install.
The final error message I get are as below:
transferring "...file name" to a fd
mounting ram3 on /tmp/stage2 as type ext2
creating dir /tmp/stage2 rc=0
calling mount(/tmp/ram3, /tmp/stage2, ext2, -1058209792, (nil))
removing device file /tmp/ram3
method selection completed
writing n/w info to /tmp/ifcfg-eth0
state saved to /tmp
symlink /tmp/stage2 failed
The prompt in terminal 2 has not yet arrived, so I could not check out the
contents of /tmp etc ,and I feel this may not be due to a floppy error...
Please help.
