That reminds me. I have downloaded/compiled/installed KDE2 as soon as it got released.
Of course it's old now.

It used to crash many a times. On mandrake7.1  as well as RHL6.2. Typically causing 
data
loss for open application.

However it never brought X or KWM down.

More funny thing is, nowadays it displays crash warning and application continues as if
nothing has happend.

So for few additional clicks for crash panel and some obviously missing features(which
are fixed in later version), I am more than happy with KDE2...

I have precompiled binaries for RHL6.2. Anybody wants it?  It's barely 109MB
uncompressed+ Qt 2.2.1 around 10-15 MB...
