I use a python program called mail2muttalias.py. Just pipe the mail to the
script, and it comes up with a curses based menu from which you can select
addresses and stuff. There is a link to this program on www.mutt.org,
or mail me offlist and I'll send the script to you. It offers similar
functionality as urlview, for email addresses. Of course you need the
python interpreter installed on your system.

These are my message index color settings. These make new messages
green, among other things. Adjust to your liking.

color index green white "~N"
color index yellow white "~O"
color index red white "~D"
color index blue white "~F"
color index cyan white "~T"

IIRC, envelop_from is determined after one presses the 'y' key, so
my_hdr should be used. Easy to verify, I guess.

Why not? Try

set folder-hook lih "source ~/mutt-lih-settings"

and see if it works. Actually I use a hook like

folder-hook linux "set reply_to=yes; set sort=threads; set pager_index_lines=4"

for all my LI-* folders. Haven't tried the trick you mention. But
knowing the way mutt works, I'm sure your trick is ok :-)

Absolutely no idea. There must be some Xresources settings, but can't
really help you there.
