I have installed it in windows and got the normal user username and
password. The same is working in windows. I have configured it in linux
using RHPPPDialer. I checked the wvdial.conf file in /etc/. I didn't
find anydifferance. Still it doesn't work in linux.
For ETH connection I get like this. IP numbers are changed by me.

For VSNL connection I get like this. IP numbers are changed by me.

Jan 12 06:47:41 lvghomepc pppd[1803]: Removed stale lock on ttyS1 (pid

I have tried in terminal also. I got the foolwing lines in terminal.
--> Carrier detected. Starting PPP immediately.
--> Starting pppd at Sun Jan 14 06:10:35 2001
--> PPP daemon has died! (exit code = 10)
--> Disconnecting at Sun Jan 14 06:11:05 2001
--> Auto Reconnect will be attempted in 5 seconds
--> pppd error! Look at files in /var/log for an explanation.

In var/log/messages I got this.
