How do I check if it is running?
During startup It starts NFS service... and then it gives the
following error

Jan 16 11:54:07 serc415 rpc.statd: Cannot register service: RPC: Unable to receive;
errno = Connection refused
Jan 16 11:54:07 serc415 rpc.statd[305]: unable to register (SM_PROG, SM_VERS, udp).
Jan 16 11:54:07 serc415 nfs: rpc.statd startup succeeded
Jan 16 11:54:08 serc415 rpc.rquotad: Cannot register service: RPC: Unable to receive;
errno = Connection refused
Jan 16 11:54:08 serc415 nfs: rpc.rquotad startup failed
Jan 16 11:54:09 serc415 rpc.mountd: Cannot register service: RPC: Unable to receive;
errno = Connection refused
Jan 16 11:54:09 serc415 rpc.mountd: mountd: unable to register (mountd, 1, udp).
Jan 16 11:54:09 serc415 nfs: rpc.mountd startup failed
Jan 16 11:54:26 serc415 rpc.nfsd: nfssvc: Connection refused
Jan 16 11:54:26 serc415 nfs: rpc.nfsd startup failed

Is it because portmapper is not running?
