hi divakaran

first of all check the whether u can ping between the m/c which u wanna configure for
NFS, if they're not, then make entry of them in ur /etc/hosts file on both the side or
clients

install the knfsd**.rpm or nfsd*.rpm
verify portmap is installed on both of them or not
# rpm -qa|grep portmap

Now, after installing the rpm of knfsd or nfsd create the export file which contains
the path of the share & relative rights.

ON the server side

lets share the /home/temp directory (say)
#vi /etc/exports

/home/temp hostname1(rw,no_root_squash) hostname2(r,no_root_squash) ....
where r->read,w->write & no_root_squash -> not letting have the root privilege to the
clients hostname1 & hostname2

then
#exportfs -a (exporting the filesystem)

#/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfsd or knfsd restart

on the client side

$ mount -t nfs servername:/home/temp /mnt/export

where servername is the name where u made the share

/home/temp -----the share name on the server

/mnt/export-----the mount directory

thats it

let me know if it works
