thanks for your reply, actually there is no vital data or something, we want
to use this chance to learn as much as we can. the admin has allowed us to
try things as we can.
reinstalling is ofcourse the last resort, i remember reinstalling RH because
no sound would come (actually the speakers were muted) :-)
