sorry!! I made some mistakes .... please see the following
#cd /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
#touch ifcfg-eth0
#touch ifcfg-eth1
write the following inside ifcfg-eth0 file
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=192.168.0.10
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETMASK=192.168.0.0
ONBOOT=yes
write the following inside ifcfg-eth1 file
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=192.168.0.11
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETMASK=192.168.0.0
ONBOOT=yes
*change the ipaddress accordingly....
*it is assumed that both the cards are detected by kernel....
then restart the network ...
/etc/init.d/network/restart
