maybe something like APMD isnt supported by your BIOS, leading to this error

I have the same config (but I thought zenith uses SiS for about everything 
...)  Shouldnt be any problem at all.  I installed mandrake fairly 
successfully - then switched to slackware 7.1 on that box (getting rid of 
windows in the process - YAY!)
