Dont fun fetchmail as root, for one thing.
Then, use something like
defaults
forcecr
# forcecr helps with some broken pop servers
poll brisk-india.com with proto pop3 no dns
user ajayrc with password pass
fetchall
Run fetchmail with the -d option (or put it into a cronjob).
