[LIH] Kernel 2.4

[Mukund]

I have down loaded kernel 2.4 and compiled.
The vmlinuz loads but modules are not loaded.
On examination i found that /lib/modules/2.4.0 is almost empty.
In fact I followed all the steps like
make menuconfig
make dep
make install
make modules
make modules_install.
I have upgraded all the binaries as per "change"

What could be wrong?
