First let me make it clear that i am not sure this is a ppp error...what
happens is this:
I connect to the net fine and when do an apt-get update, (or wget -c
http://foo.bar xyz.gz, it downloads about 13-15kB, then stops, then i have
to reissue the commands again to resume once again...this makes things
very frustrating(to say the very least)...even downloading mails with
fetchmail has become a pain and i have had to use the expunge option after
20-30 messages.
Is there any place i could look to see where the problem is? I might point
out that I am able toconnect fine in winDOS and get dpwnload speeds upto
30kbps just fine....i just had the phone line checked for noise today, so
that's ruled out too...
The machine is running Debian unstable and has'nt been updated for quite
some time now.
