Hi list,
i am trying (in vain) to connect to my isp using wvdial..
Its get connected and ppp sequence is inititated. Then the connection drops
suddenly giginv exit status 242.
i read the man pages for wvdial and pppd. Subsequently i added the
New PPPD = yes
option to my wvdial.conf file
and also gave the users read-write permissions to chap-secrets and
pap-secrets as the man pages says that that might be a possible problem.
Also in my pppd options file i have given the option
passive
but still the dialer doesn't work...
Help please...
any other way to connect to the net from the command line???
