if the mobo supports LBA, then it is not gonna be a problem
but I have experienced difficulties when dealing with large disks
check out 'largdisk howto' at http://www.linuxdocs.org
also it would be better to allocate '/boot' =>50mb, '/ ' =>2 gb
and install, after installation, create as many partitions and
mountpoints and mount, manually relocate items etc.
