K&R is of course the best book for learning C. But I would say
another book, C A Modern Approach by K N King is nice - publisher is
WW Norton.It has a nice way of explaining concepts and will prolly be
good if you are starting out. And as Binand pointed out earlier,
Harbison and Steele is the reference once you have got into some
depth in C.
BTW, search google for some online C tutorials...there was one by
Dave Miller which I liked.
