| Enable APM support in the kernel
| Make sure APMD runs at startup
Both are done but it still won't power off the system
BTW APMD is shutdown before the system halt part comes... so something
needs to be enabled in the kernel to power the system down.
My motherboard says APCI compatible bios ... it's description of APCI is
something like you can turn ur large screen TV on and set ur hi-fi system
settings when u insert a DVD into ur comp!! (I have none of those !! ;-)
and APCI support in the kernel is only experimental....
are APM and APCI competing standards ?? (I think not.. because standby
and stuff works for me !!)
