Finally got to meet a ghost, but its different from daemonic vareity, but
equally benevolent.

If i start playing a cd with xplaycd, i can then just kill the
application, but the entire cd keeps on playing. I searched for the
process everywhere, top,ps,pstree but its nowhere. This was pretty late so
could not go into the strace log in detail, there i see its doing an

ioctl( 3, CD_CHANNEL... then reading some content from a wierdly named
file open(5, "\<lots of numerals>") and writing them to the sound device.
But after i exit xplaycd where does the process go...Surely it couldnt
have swapped the entire cd into memory.

When i need to stop the cd i can fire up xplaycd/playcd again and stop it,
or change tracks...whatever. But wherever is the guy, who is reading my
cd-rom after i have exited from xplay-cd
