IMO Linux doesn't do ATA100 yet! so no point in spending money on that...
since you are talking of agp stuff I am assuming it's going to be for home
use... in that case you certainly don't need ATA100 .. you can rip a DVD
on a ATA66 drive... /me can't think of anything more data intensive.
