Hi

You cannot login remotely using root at first step. Then if you are not
logging in as root means check hosts-allow/deny in /etc, and allow the
machine from which you are trying.

Subject: [LIH] Not able to login using ftp

Hi..

I'm having my machine installed with RH 6.2. I'm not able to login to
that machine from other m/c's using FTP. Everything was working fine
previously. When I'm trying to connect to that that m/c using ftp, it asks
for user-id and password. Eventhough I'm giving the correct user-id and
password, it's telling "login incorrect." What has to be done ? Please
Help !!!

regards

Vinoos.
