|nothing seemed to work. i knew there was something
|wrong but i didnt know what. i had got the very same
|modem to work on the very same net connection with
|redhat6.2. the soundcard worked from time to time.
| now if there cant be a distro that cant get this
|working where does the future of this OS lie? if it
|lies only in the hands of "geeks"... then i dont see a
|bright future for it. however much i want to be part
|of this movement i cant!
Some one said that *nixes are very user friendly, but they very choosie
about the friends ;-)
If you are not able to install an OS then fault lies with you and not the
OS which is growing at 30% without a commecial support
| this is not a problem i've faced for a short while.
|its one that i've faced since PC quest gave their
|first copy of linux.

|mail, please suggest me a distro that will get me a
|working linux without making me stay up all night
|"hacking" it.
Get a pre installed window box, *nixes are not for you, if you are not ready
to burn mid night oil.
