I have also used slackware 3.2 and 3.5 , the only feature in my opinion
is stablility i seen for slackware. But installing a new package tar.gz
is the only option.;-)
in redhat run only rpm -Uvh Packages etc so simple and run rpm -qf, rpm
-qa etc
are breeze man ... in no time i am able to diagnose the problems,
it's /sbin/chkconfig is also very good and now xinetd it's over all
great man infact  i am great fen of Redhat the work they people are
doing .....
