This means u are running kernel 2.2.16 and the modules it is trying to
access are of 2.2.16-3. (mismatch)

By any chance have u compiled 2.2.16 kernel on your PC and make install.

If u have installed PCQ rpm's than in /boot you should have the following
2.2.16-3 files :

-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root      1603531 Jun 20  2000 vmlinux-2.2.16-3
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           16 Jan 17 09:33 vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.2.16-3
-rw-r--r--    1 root     root       620247 Jun 20  2000 vmlinuz-2.2.16-3
