file /dev/mouse
symbolic link to ttyS0
file /dev/ttyS0
character special (4/64)
perms:
/dev/mouse lrwxrwxrwx root root
/dev/ttyS0 crw------- root tty
(as an aside, the perms for /dev/ttyS0 in suse are crw-rw---- )
Sharukh.
btw, a search on google for the error message *gpm: oops() invoked from
gpm.c(958)* turned up nothing and a search for *gpm dead but subsys locked*
turned up a link for the same problem with httpd, but nothing for gpm.
