The occurance of the problem can be compared to the recent monkey man
case. You don know when it gets tired of you and starts barfing on logins.
If the file got deleted / corrupted, it should have been a consistent
problem. And I dont think we have a ai-glibc-0.2 which can put libraries
on a vacation every now and then or start a "labour union of
shared libraries" so that you cant login onto the machine until you gave
the OS some rest by rebooting it. ;-)
